Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 22 regular Oreo cookies
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Ganache

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1 cup heavy cream, cold
  • 8 ounces full-fat brick cream cheese, softened
  • 1 and 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Optional Garnishes

  • Whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup Reese’s Pieces, crushed
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Using a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Mix the crumbs with the melted unsalted butter until evenly combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then allow it to cool completely before adding the filling.
  2. Make the Chocolate Ganache: Heat 3/4 cup of heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to boil. Pour the hot cream over the coarsely chopped semi-sweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let it sit for a minute, then stir gently until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
  3. Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the cold heavy cream using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. In another large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the creamy peanut butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated. Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until evenly combined, taking care not to deflate the whipped cream.
  4. Assemble the Pie: Spread the peanut butter filling evenly over the cooled Oreo crust. Pour the cooled chocolate ganache over the peanut butter layer, smoothing it out with a spatula. Refrigerate the pie for at least 6 hours or overnight to let it set properly.
  5. Add Garnishes and Serve: Before serving, optionally top the pie with a generous layer of whipped cream. Sprinkle crushed Reese’s Pieces and chopped peanuts on top for added texture and flavor. Slice and enjoy your unforgettable peanut butter pie!

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the filling.
  • For best results, chill the pie overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the texture to firm up.
  • You can substitute the Oreo crust with a graham cracker crust for a different flavor.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese and heavy cream for the creamiest texture and richest flavor.
  • Store leftover pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
