Ingredients

Scale

Pasta Shells

  • 8 ounces jumbo shell pasta, cooked according to package directions

Meat Filling

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 5 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • ½ cup chopped green onions

Topping

  • 1 ½ cups shredded Mexican Cheese Blend

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta Shells: Cook jumbo shell pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a baking pan or line it with aluminum foil to prepare for baking.
  3. Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and cook thoroughly until no pink remains, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Drain Fat: Drain any excess fat from the cooked ground beef to keep the dish from being greasy.
  5. Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic with the beef and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant to enhance the flavor.
  6. Season and Combine: Add the taco seasoning packet, salsa, and softened cream cheese to the skillet with the beef. Stir well to combine all ingredients and allow the cream cheese to melt into the mixture.
  7. Stuff Shells: Place the cooked jumbo shells into the prepared baking pan. Carefully spoon the beef mixture into each shell, filling them generously.
  8. Add Cheese and Bake: Sprinkle shredded Mexican Cheese Blend evenly over the stuffed shells. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add a diced jalapeño to the beef mixture.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner alternative.
  • Serve with sour cream, guacamole, or extra salsa for added flavor.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
