Delicious and easy-to-make cranberry turkey sliders featuring Hawaiian rolls, tender deli turkey, melted Havarti or Provolone cheese, and a sweet-tangy cranberry sauce. Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 16 oz package Hawaiian rolls (12 count)
  • 1 lb deli turkey (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (jellied or whole berry)
  • 6 slices Havarti or Provolone cheese

Butter Glaze

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons minced dried onion
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoons fresh minced chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare dish. Preheat your oven to 350ºF and lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Slice rolls. Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise, separating the top and bottom halves, then place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish as the base.
  3. Layer turkey. Evenly layer the thinly sliced deli turkey over the bottom half of the rolls, covering the surface completely.
  4. Add cranberry sauce. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the layer of turkey to infuse sweet and tart flavor throughout.
  5. Place cheese slices. Lay 6 slices of Havarti or Provolone cheese in an even layer over the cranberry sauce to add creamy richness.
  6. Top with buns. Place the top halves of the Hawaiian rolls over the cheese layer, completing the slider sandwich.
  7. Prepare butter glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced dried onion, poppy seeds, and fresh minced chives until well combined.
  8. Brush glaze. Generously brush the butter glaze mixture over the tops of the slider buns, adding flavor and helping them brown.
  9. Bake covered. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.
  10. Uncover and brown. Remove the foil and bake the sliders uncovered for an additional 3-5 minutes to brown the tops to a golden finish.
  11. Serve. Remove from the oven, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm for a perfect party treat or snack.

Notes

  • You can substitute Havarti or Provolone with other melting cheeses like Swiss or Monterey Jack if desired.
  • Use either jellied or whole berry cranberry sauce based on your texture preference.
  • Make sure to brush the butter glaze generously for best flavor and appealing golden tops.
  • These sliders are best served immediately but can be stored tightly wrapped and reheated.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the butter glaze.
